  6. The following are files in this directory:

  8. tel23bin.zip - Executable files in PKZIP format.
  9. tel23src.zip - Source files in PKZIP format.  Make certain to unzip
  10.         using the -d parameter with PKUNZIP, otherwise the
  11.         source files will all end up in one directory, and
  12.         the makefiles will not work at all.  Ex:
  13.             pkunzip -d tel23src.zip
  14.  
  15. tel23doc.zip - Ascii documentation in PKZIP format.
  16. Teln.Macdocs.sithqx - Documentation in Macintosh MS Word format.
  17.         This file is packed with Stuffit and then Binhex'ed
  18.         so it may be downloaded in ascii format.
  19.  
  20. pktd9_0.zip - Executable files for packet drivers in PKZIP format.
  21. pktd9_0s.zip - Source files for packet drivers in PKZIP format.
  22.  
  23. dev_note.txt - A (somewhat outdated) text file for using the NCSA Telnet
  24.         source for other development.  This file will be updated
  25.         in the near future to encompass the (significant)
  26.         changes made for the 2.3 release.
  27. packets.inf - A quick guide to installing packet drivers on your machine.
  28. README - This file :-)
  29. update.tel - A short description of changes made to the final version
  30.         of NCSA Telnet which didn't get into the documentation.
  31. info.tel - A short description of NCSA Telnet and its associated utilities.
  32. plans - Plans for the future.

  36. The following files are binary files and must be downloaded in binary mode:

  44. The following files are in ascii format and must be downloaded in FTP's
  45. ascii mode:

  55. The PKZIP utilities may be downloaded from our ftp server in the
  56. /ftp/NCSA_Telnet/contributions directory.  The file name is:
  57. pkz110.exe and it needs to be downloaded in binary format.  pkz110.exe
  58. is a self-extracting executable, just download it in binary format
  59. and run it on your PC in a directory you create to store the files
  60. which will extract from it.
