- NCSA Telnet for the PC
- version 2.3 release
-
-
- The following are files in this directory:
-
- tel23bin.zip - Executable files in PKZIP format.
- tel23src.zip - Source files in PKZIP format. Make certain to unzip
- using the -d parameter with PKUNZIP, otherwise the
- source files will all end up in one directory, and
- the makefiles will not work at all. Ex:
- pkunzip -d tel23src.zip
-
- tel23doc.zip - Ascii documentation in PKZIP format.
- Teln.Macdocs.sithqx - Documentation in Macintosh MS Word format.
- This file is packed with Stuffit and then Binhex'ed
- so it may be downloaded in ascii format.
-
- pktd9_0.zip - Executable files for packet drivers in PKZIP format.
- pktd9_0s.zip - Source files for packet drivers in PKZIP format.
-
- dev_note.txt - A (somewhat outdated) text file for using the NCSA Telnet
- source for other development. This file will be updated
- in the near future to encompass the (significant)
- changes made for the 2.3 release.
- packets.inf - A quick guide to installing packet drivers on your machine.
- README - This file :-)
- update.tel - A short description of changes made to the final version
- of NCSA Telnet which didn't get into the documentation.
- info.tel - A short description of NCSA Telnet and its associated utilities.
- plans - Plans for the future.

- The PKZIP utilities may be downloaded from our ftp server in the
- /ftp/NCSA_Telnet/contributions directory. The file name is:
- pkz110.exe and it needs to be downloaded in binary format. pkz110.exe
- is a self-extracting executable, just download it in binary format
- and run it on your PC in a directory you create to store the files
- which will extract from it.
